Overview
The Moment is an immersive Motion Capture and dance performance AR storytelling installation which includes two different storylines for the male group and female group. This story is talking about how two strangers meet with each other and fall in love with each other. The story will lead our users to follow the two characters o explore their stories that happened in NYC's different locations. During this period, users will also explore New York City’s famous landmarks. By following these two store lines, our users’ paths will also come to cross together.
My Role
I am a cooperative project designer and UX/UI designer for going through the story smoothly and user-friendly. Also, be responsible for the AR developing and related visual design.
Ideation
what WE ARE GOING TO DO
We are going to create an AR storytelling project for the final critique. We will write two storylines for two groups (basically divided by gender) and lead these groups to follow the two characters to explore their stories happened in different locations. During this period, users will also explore New York City’s famous landmarks to experience the New Yorker’s Moments, like running in Central Park and dancing in Rockefeller Center. Our stories are how two strangers meet with each other and fall in love with each other. By following these two store lines, our users’ paths will also come to cross together. We hope the moments that they meet can also help them create more special moments in NYC and even in their lives together (like they may become friends or lovers later, it’s up to users themselves).

Why we are going to do it?
There have many lovely moments happened in New York City and the sweetest thing is how strangers become friends and even partners. We hope we can provide this chance to our users to meet with different people in New York City and start their own stories.

First Scene: Meet in Grand Central Terminal
Group A (follows Kelly): It is Kelly’s first time to come to New York, she is checking the information board in Grand Central Terminal but gets confused. A man bumps into her and helps her. Kelly likes the warm-heart person so decides to give him her phone number.
Group B (follows David): David is a New Yorker and just comes back to NYC after his winter vacation. He bumps into a pretty woman and helps her in Grand Central Terminal. He likes the pretty woman but he has to leave at first so he asks for this woman’s phone number. They exchanged numbers and David decides to ask her to go out for dating one day.
Second Scene: Date & Dance in Rockefeller Center
Group A & B: Kelly and David are dating and dancing in Rockefeller Center
